It’s that time of year where the early mornings are a lot darker but the sunrises make up for it. This was taken on the morning of a Northumbrian beach wedding. You read that right - a wedding on a beach. In Northumberland. In October. I admired Sharon’s positive thinking regarding their nuptials taking place among the dunes of Beadnell but as we had our final meeting a week before the wedding, the wind whipping outside and rain lashing against the windows, I thought, “you’re crazy”. It turned out that Sharon and Mark were right, and that I, the naysayer, was wrong. They married on the beach and the sun shone. They were still buzzing with the thrill of it all the next day when Beth and I cleared up. (This was a Wildflower / Blume collaboration - more on this coming soon).

I inadvertently strayed into festive territory and it actually didn’t bother me. I think it could pass as “wintery” rather than “Christmassy”.
