So it finally happened. I left the studio, shut the blinds rather than clearing up and headed home. In the lead up to Christmas I fell over a lot on amaryllis stems (these are much like banana skins when discarded on the floor), wiped my ipod, flowered a couple of weddings, made a lot of deliveries and Paddy had to make the cranberry and juniper jelly that I had promised to my folks (it was a triumph). And then I stopped. And it has been bliss. I listened to this a lot.

And today we feasted with old friends in Sparty Lea. Brisket by Chris and Maxine. Pavlova courtesy of Alice. Remy escaped briefly but was recaptured in the darkness for the second time this week. All of the fireside rest has clearly made him crave adventure.
