Last week I lied. I thought Leigh got the last of the coral charm but actually it was Becky - she got the final one, fading into peach rather than strong coral and set amidst blues.
The weekend involved dressing a garden. David’s garden is currently green, a lot of the flowers had just gone over so it needed a little help. I say that… It really didn’t need that much help, it’s beautiful at any time of year and I always fawn over it but as David reminded me, it’s been twenty years of work… Twenty years is a long time. I got home and looked at my little hydrangea petiolaris and sighed.
There was instruction not to make the pergola look as though a wedding was going to take place under it which is fair enough. Instead, hosta leaves, poppy seed heads, bullet alliums and agapanthus were all suspended from the structure (with help from Beth).
David also wanted a crown for the stone head: clematis, passion flower vine, carrot flower and roses.
In all honesty I would flower up this garden every week of life if I had the chance. Just for the excuse of hanging out in it really.
