After a week or so of writing here, I am pleased to say that some people are reading my posts and making interesting observations. The first observation was that I have goth sensibilities (this followed my musings on the beauty of decay - I do love The Cure and black eyeliner. More on this another time). The second observation was that my life looked a little too serene - like I spent my days running through fields with armfuls of fresh flowers stopping only to teach other people that they too, can play with flowers. Thankfully, this weekend has given me plenty of opportunity to give a more representative view of life at Wildflower HQ.
Two midday weddings. Seventy miles apart.
Memorable moments of my eighteen hour Friday shift were an out-of- hours plea to the flower market for more foliage (they obliged), and a late-night garlanding session (miraculously I stayed up the ladders despite my shaking from the 48 cups of tea consumed over the day).
Needless to say, I’m keeping it short today and attempting to catch up with sleeping, laundry, walking Remy and eating food with some nutritional value.
Clematis and black dahlias were the stars of the weekend for me… I love a bit of drama.
