Just outside of Copenhagen, in the historic fishing village of Dragør, there is a unique interplay between the blue sea, the ornate houses and the shiny green gates of the paved avenues. It is this enchanting color combination that inspires our glazed pots, jars and vases.

We know this color as “port green” or “wagon green”—names that call to mind places where this color is seen daily. Developed in the mid-18th century, it was popular in now-historic urban areas, where it was used everywhere from the doors and gates of the town’s finer houses to horse-drawn carriages, benches and street lamps. Together with the earthy ochers and sea blue tones, one is reminded of a bygone era, the same feeling evoked by a visit to idyllic Dragør.

Our glaze is saturated with intense color, accentuating the nuances between our different types of pots. Each pot, jar and vase is glazed the old-fashioned way, individually and by hand.

Like Berg’s raw herb pots, the sturdy glazes and timeless colors signal that pots Glazed by Bergs are made to last for generations to come. Quality will always be classic.

These classic Bergs Potters pots were inspired by a trip to a flea market in Montmatre, Paris. This classical French style of pot originated in the Latin Quarter of Paris in the early Nineteenth Century. Today these French inspired pots are made by Bergs’ Tuscan potters, and available in a beautiful grey or clay finish.

Bergs Potter raw, natural plant pots use a high-density clay which allows air to get to the roots, thus giving the plants the optimum growth conditions.

  • All pots are supplied with a coordinating saucer.

  • Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

  • Frost Resistant.
